CONGRATULATIONS DETLEV!
The Frankfort Public Library District (FPLD) wishes to congratulate our long-standing Library Director and friend, Detlev Pansch. Detlev has served the (FPLD) for ten years. Advancing the number and quality of services and resources offered here at the library, his inclusive, progressive mindset has helped to shape a library culture which thrives on meeting its patrons needs as well as encouraging users to explore new opportunities for education and entertainment offered by contemporary public libraries. Detlev has accepted the Director position at Barrington Public Library and we wish him the best of luck!
FPLD Board Members have employed the consulting services of Mary Jane Kepner of Kepner & Associates, to lead the library in its search for a new permanent director.
The library is pleased to welcome our new Interim Director, Mary Sue Brown. Mary Sue was the Woodridge Public Library's Director for over twenty years,
and has been working as an Interim Director ever since retiring from her post there. She is meeting with staff members and familiarizing herself with FPLD's current operations as well as future plans.
